Membership Requirements

 

Photographic Identification Exceptional Circumstances
One of the following:

  • Current passport
  • Current photocard driving licence/provision licence*
  • Electoral identity card
  • Firearms certificate
  • National identity card (EU Nationals)
  • Smartpass
 In exceptional circumstances in cases where items listed opposite could not reasonably be expected the following may be considered:

  • Residence permit issued by the Home Office.
  • Instrument of a court appointment (such as liquidator, or grant of probate
  • Identification verification (in writing, signed and on head paper) from a reputable 3rd party; i.e. employer, money advisor, solicitor, teacher, priest, care-home or shelter manager, probation officer, government office or local authority official.

 

Address Verification Exceptional Circumstances
One of the following:

  • Current utility bill (within 3 months)
  • Current bank statement (within 3 months)
  • Current driving licence/provisional licence*
  • Government issued documentation relating to tax or benefits (within 12 months)
 In exceptional circumstances in cases where items listed opposite could not reasonably be expected the following may be considered:

  • Address verification (in writing, signed and on head paper) from a reputable 3rd party; i.e. employer, money advisor, solicitor, teacher, priest, care-home or shelter manager, probation officer, government office or local authority official.
  • Search of Experian/Equifax or similar agency.
  • Examination of the electoral register.
  • Examination of a local telephone directory or available street directory.

* Please note that the same form of identification cannot be used to confirm both your identity and your address.
