Online Banking - Newry Credit Union Ltd

With Online Banking You Can:

  1. Click the Lodgements button on the left navigation bar and if you have multiple accounts, make sure to select the correct account number before continuing.
  2. Click the Debit Card Lodgement button and then the Manage Cards button to add your debit card.
  3. Once your card is added, click the Make Card Lodgement button and you can now choose to set up either a One-Off payment or a Recurring payment (Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly) to your Credit Union account.
  4. For the Balance field, select whether you wish to set up this payment into your savings or off your loan balance and then click Confirm.

  1. Click the Payments button on the left navigation bar and if you have multiple accounts, make sure to select the correct account number under the My Accounts section before continuing.
  2. If you would like to transfer funds to a new UK bank account, click the Manage Payees button and click Next to complete Steps 1-3 to add an account as a Payee.
  3. Once your Payee is added, click Make A Payment and you can now choose to transfer funds either as a One-Off transfer or as a Recurring transfer (Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly).
  4. If you would like to transfer your savings to a UK bank account, keep the External Payment button highlighted, and your Payee will appear in a drop-down list after you click the To* field. Click the Next button to move onto the next screen and then enter your password and hit the Confirm button to complete your transfer.
  5. If you would like to transfer savings to pay off your loan or if you would like to transfer savings into another Credit Union account, make sure the Pay Someone Or Loan In Your Credit Union button is highlighted. You will have to enter the Credit Union membership number you wish to transfer into and for the Balance Name you will have to choose either to transfer into SHARES or LOAN.

Note: External transfers to bank accounts can only be processed during office opening hours and take at least one full banking day to process. It is recommended that all members send in their requests before 3pm (and complete security checks if required) to ensure a next banking day transfer.

 

You can now access your statements 24/7 using your online banking. To access your statements, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Accounts on the left navigation bar and under My Accounts, make sure the correct membership number is highlighted.
  2. On the right, you will see your Transaction History. This will show you all your transactions in and out of your Credit Union savings.
  3. Click the Dates button to choose which dates your statement will cover.
  4. Two calendars will appear, use the left calendar to select the first date you wish the statement to begin from and then use the right calendar to select the date you wish the statement to end on.
  5. Click the Apply button and you should see that your Transaction History has updated. You will be able to see 10 entries at a time and can scroll through your transactions using the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom.
  6. Once you have the correct dates selected, click the Download button to save your statement as a PDF which you can then print or send via email.

To access your loan repayments, click Payments on the left navigation bar and on the right, you will see your My Payment History. Follow the same steps as above to view/download your statement for you loan repayments.

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Loans.
  2. Under My Accounts, click the correct account number you wish to apply for a loan under.
  3. On the right, click Apply For A Loan.
  4. You can either apply for a new loan or top-up an existing loan by completing the online application.
  5. You can choose to upload supporting documents for your loan application such as bank statements, payslips, IDs, and address verification.

Note: You may have to provide other documents as required by the Loans team.

You can view your account balances 24/7 with online banking. To view your shares and loan balances, follow the steps below:

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Accounts.
  2. Under My Balances you will see your current share balance. If you have multiple accounts, you can switch between your accounts under My Accounts, and this will update the balance.
  3. On the right, you will see your Transaction History (Read the Download/Print Statements section above for instructions on how to use the Transaction History).
  4. To view your loan balances, click Loans on the left navigation bar.

Under My Loans you will see your active loan balance. As above, you can switch between your Credit Union accounts if you have multiple loans and the balance will update and so will the My Loan History on the right.

Members can set up a recurring debit card payment to transfer funds from a UK bank account into their Credit Union account. This can be done by following the steps in the Lodge Money into your Credit Union Account section above (ensure that the Recurring option is selected instead of the One-Off option).

At the top of your online banking, there is a Mail icon with a number above relating to unopened messages in your inbox. Clicking this button will allow members to view any messages the team might have sent, and it will also allow members to send a secure message to Newry Credit Union regarding their account. Click the Compose Message button and try to explain as clearly as possible your query/request and a member of the team will review the message and reply. Our reply will appear back into your Mail inbox in your online banking area.

Members can upload documents from their online portal into their Credit Union accounts by clicking Documents on the left navigation bar. Members can upload requested documents from the team such as IDs, address verification, bank statements, and payslips. Once a member uploads a document, it is recommended that the member also sends a message from their online area to advise the team that the document we are waiting on has now been sent. For instructions on how to send a message from your online area, click the Secure Messaging section above.

Members can set up a payee using their online banking and transfer money out of their savings either as a one-off payment or as a recurring payment. To do this, follow the instructions in the Transfer Money Into Your Bank Account section above.

  3. Fill out the registration form and take note of your Username and Password. For your Password, it is recommended that you use upper-case & lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols.
  4. Once you receive your 8-digit PIN by SMS, you will be able to log in to your online banking (this PIN is only requested the first time you log in).

Note: Your registration can only be processed during office working hours. If you have not received your 8-digit PIN within 48 hours, can you please either email info@newrycu.com or contact the office on 02830263840.

  6. Enter your OTP into the input box and click the green button I Approve This Activity.
  7. For your first log in, you will have to now enter your 8-digit PIN which was sent to your mobile after your online banking registration was processed. Going forward, you will only need to complete steps 1-6 to log in.
  8. The first time you log in, you will be asked to create a memorable word which can be used to request a new password if forgotten.
